ShotGrid Desktop is your source for launching all of the Artist Anywhere Studio Workflow Tools. It’s an application provided by Autodesk's ShotGrid, so you can download it from your ShotGrid site.
Installation
To download ShotGrid Desktop, go to your ShotGrid site in the browser, and in the Apps menu, choose ShotGrid Desktop.
Follow the prompts to agree to the Terms of Service and download the version of the installer for your operating system. Run the installer to install the application.
Login
Once you’ve installed ShotGrid Desktop, launch the application. The first time you run it, it will present you with a login screen.
Enter the URL for your ShotGrid site, and you’ll be prompted to sign in. Use your ShotGrid credentials. Depending on your studio’s ShotGrid setup, logging in may go through single sign-on or require multi-factor authentication.
It may take a moment for the application to fully launch once you log in, especially the first time you run it. The ShotGrid Desktop application sits in your system tray. Click on the system tray icon to open it.

Project Selection
Once you’ve launched ShotGrid Desktop, you’ll be presented with the Project selection pane, showing icons for each of the Projects you have access to. Click on a Project to select it.
When you select a project, you’ll see all the apps that are available to you, and you can start any of your Artist Anywhere workflows from here.
